Thanks for your reply. By a little trial & error I think I've figured out what the problem was. First of all I wasn't quite pounding the strips together hard enough for fear of damaging wood. I'm using a protective face board to take the brunt of the hit & protect to actual board I'm installing. Secondly, the biggest problem is I have gone through my nine boxes to find that I have a LOT of warped & bowed wood that will never lye straight & can't be used. Sincerely, T. Clarke
